Philips HomeRun - Robotic Vacuum Cleaner

Philips HomeRun - Robotic Vacuum Cleaner

Philips entering the market for robot vacuum cleaner with HomeRun. The new robot that uses the camera on board and a navigation system and real-time mapping to clean the floor without bumping into objects in the path.

Philips HomeRun is scheduled to start cleaning when we are home to 20 sensors to avoid bumping into a pillar with a precious vase or atro yet. HomeRun also map the house every time, so clean, even in areas where previously there was a piece of furniture that was moved.

Turning to the thorny issues (battery life and carpets), on paper HomeRun behaves very well thanks to a longer than competitors and the possibility of climbing as high as 20 mm carpet. Once downloaded, however, the robot returns to base, load and resume cleaning where it left off with the rated speed of 40 square meters per hour.
