Amazing Cityscape Art with Patatos

You like po-tay-to, I like po-tah-to, let's call the whole thing ... awesome: Behold a cityscape carved out of 80 pounds of potatoes by artist Peter Root (really).
Peter Root, 33, spent three weeks in Istanbul, Turkey, making homes, office blocks and places of worship from a staggering 176lbs of spuds using a kitchen knife and bicycle repair kit.

Details include TV aerials, hundreds of windows on tower blocks and the crescent moon of Islam on mosques.

Looking for Love Online

Looking for Love Online - Infographic : We’ve all seen the commercials showing happy couples who met via one of the many online dating sites. But does online dating really make it easier to meet that one-and-only soulmate? Or is finding that special someone just a matter of being in the right place at the right time—and not necessarily online?

Scottish artist Rob Mulholland created a series of these sculptures out of mirrored Perspex (or acrylic glass). It has been called the Predator effect after the 1987 film where an alien life form seamlessly blends into its background.

Mickey Mouse Structure by Age

Mickey Mouse was born in November of 1928, which makes him 83 years old today. Luckily for those who ever wondered what the mouseman would look like if he ever did age, using skills honed from a mask making class, artist Darick Maasen has created a vision of what Mickey would look like today, assuming micemen live on the same age lifecycle as humans.
