Suddenly then the world of makeup and fashion starts looking extremely interesting. The craze to experiment with looks specially comes with the entry in college. However, at this age skin is very delicate, it is often not advisable to apply extra make up. Teenage make up should always be soft and subtle; it’s much different from the middle-age makeup. A nice combination of soft colors, poise and sweet touch up makes teenage make up attractive and charming.

Wash Your Hands and Face

Before touching your face, always wash your hands with an Anti-Bacterial soap and warm water. Make sure your face is clean before applying makeup. To clean your face properly get a good cleanser from your dermatologist. All product from Wal-Mart/Walgreen’s/Target contain all the same ingredients because they simply can not sell any higher of benzoyl peroxide or accutane for it is illegal unless prescribed.

Apply Moisturizer

Before starting, always use sunscreen especially if you have problems with hyper-pigmentation when your skin is healing and is slightly darker than the natural skin. It’s better to get a moisturizer separate from your SPF because then your SPF will be stronger. If you have very low melanin amounts you need to use SPF 45 otherwise if you have olive dark etc. and don’t burn easy use SPF 15 or so.

Smooth

With a concealer brush, or foundation brush, gently stipple that’s one shade lighter than your skin tone under the eye to cover any darkness under the eyes. Also use your concealer on zits, red spots or other imperfections. Now blot it in using your middle finger. Make sure you dab, rather than wipe with your finger, otherwise you will take all the concealer off. Also, you can use foundation as concealer, but using concealer specifically will give you better results

Pat

If you have acne mineral makeup it’s much better for your skin that normal foundation. Use Bare Minerals or Prescriptives; no cheap stuff. Remember your skin is your biggest breathing organ! Girls with oilier skin might want to stick to powder, and girls with drier skin might prefer liquid/cream foundation or tinted moisturizer. More oily skin can use matte gels or silicone based primer which help to lower the level of oil produced.

Comb

Using a brow brush or a toothbrush, comb your eyebrows up and across, or softly apply eyeshadow (matching your eyebrow color) to fill in brows, making them appear fuller. If you have full eyebrows, skip this step. Do set your brows in place using a brow brush with gel, clear mascara, or a brow brush with hairspray. Again, this isn’t imperative, but one of those extra things you might want to do before a date or another occasion you want to look your best.

Shadow

Use a brush to apply a creamy colored and slightly iridescent and glowing skin tone shade. If you are going for a tan look, use a soft bronze color. If you are going for a cover up color, use a soft skin tone one. Some shimmery white crisply lining the eyes can open them up.

Blush

Apply gel blush to the apples of your cheeks. Smile, blend up and in a circular motion, always blending towards the temple. You can also follow your cheekbone. Blend, blend. You can also use a powder blush, but be careful as they tend to pack more of punch. Less is more.

Lip Gloss is Great For a Light, Glossy Look

It’s cute enough for school and perfect glow to your finishing look. Just apply it on your lips and love it through the day. You might need to apply more, if it begins to wear off.

Curl

Although it is hardly necessary, you can sometimes use an eyelash curler, even when applying clear mascara. It can make your eyelashes look very professional. Mascara goes on top and bottom lashes- always apply it thicker on the outer lashes. It makes your eyes look big and sexy. Apply 1 or 2 coats on the top lashes, and use what is left for the bottom lashes.

    * Another way to curl your eyelashes is to get a very small eyebrow comb, and carefully comb your eyelashes.

Apply Lip Gloss

Fill in entire lip using a tinted lip balm. Then, using your finger or brush, spread gloss on top. Find out your skin tone, and the colors that match it. Always use a transparent gloss over tinted lip balm.

Eye Shadow

First, put white shadow all over your eyes. Then, choose a color you like and apply it underneath the crease of your eye lid. Lastly, you can put sparkles on top on lid to make it look sexy.

Warnings

    * Keep all makeup away from any piercings and open wounds.
    * Don’t use too much of something if you are afraid it will look fake. Punk should never be fake or stray too far from the individual.
    * If you’re going to an event such as a show or concert, don’t wear too much makeup if you’re just going to sweat it off. Nothing is less punk rock than going in the bathroom every 15 minutes to reapply makeup.

Prince Saint Vladimir – The World’s First and Only Chapel Boat

The Prince Saint Vladimir is basically an old boat converted into a floating church that could make the sacred relics on board accessible to people in remote areas along the Volga River.

This isn’t the world’s first floating church, communities living on water have built plenty of them all around the world, but the Prince Saint Vladimir (named after the saint who baptized Russia) is the world’s first self-propelled chapel boat. Built back in 2004, the unique church was designed to reach even the shallowest waters, so that all the people of the Volvograd region could have access to a church and priest. There were two other similar churches built before, but because they were practically converted barges, they could only be moved by tugboats. The Prince Saint Vladimir is, however, a self-propelled craft.

On September 13, 2010, the great river voyage of the Prince Saint Vladimir began. The floating church will travel around 3,000 kilometers along the shores of the Volga, from the river mouth, all the way to Moscow. It will make stops in both cities and small communities along the shores, allowing people access to relics of eight great saints from the era of the Undivided Church. Its voyage will take the sacred ship to areas that have suffered from drought and terrible wildfires, and the Russian Church hopes it will bring comfort to locals.

Along with the captain and ship crew, a priest will be on board the Prince Saint Vladimir at all times, and he will celebrate the Sacred Liturgy at every stop.

Common Phrases to Avoid in Conversation

Common Phrases to Avoid in Conversation

What Not to Say About Someone's Appearance

Don't say: "You look tired."
Why: It implies she doesn't look good.
Instead say: "Is everything OK?" We often blurt the "tired" comment when we get the sense that the other person feels out of sorts. So just ask.

Don't say: "Wow, you've lost a ton of weight!"
Why: To a newly trim person, it might give the impression that she used to look unattractive.
Instead say: "You look fantastic." And leave it at that. If you're curious about how she got so svelte, add, "What's your secret?"

Don't say: "You look good for your age."
Why: Anything with a caveat like this is rude. It's saying, "You look great compared with other old people. It's amazing you have all your own teeth."
Instead say: "You look great."

Don't say: "I could never wear that."
Why: It can be misunderstood as a criticism. ("I could never wear that because it's so ugly.")
Instead say: "You look so good in skinny jeans." If you slip, say something like "I could never wear that…because I wasn't blessed with your long legs."

How to Be Affectionate: Ways to Improve Your Marriage

How to Be Affectionate: Ways to Improve Your Marriage

Let’s take a good look at the word affectionate. The strangely poetic dictionary definition says that it means simply displaying warmth or displaying affection. The fact that the verb “display” is built into the definition tells us a lot simply having warm feelings is not enough to create affectionate feelings, you need to actually act on them.

A relationship without affection is hardly a relationship at all. Affection is the thing that separates a close friend from a lover or romantic partner, and making displays of that affection is so key to keeping a relationship afloat that many couples get by on their affection alone.

There are few things as comforting as a relationship where your partner is affectionate. Having someone who is affectionate towards you is soothing and reassuring, like living with a safety net. It just makes you feel loved and wanted. But not everyone is in a relationship where their partner displays their affection. For some people, it is just difficult to be so open about how they feel. Others just don’t know how. So if you are in a situation like this, you may need to know how to handle a relationship with someone who isn’t affectionate at all.

Being affectionate with your partner will help both of you gain a deeper level of intimacy. It may be frightening, at first, to feel so vulnerable with the one you love. But you can it with the help of a few tips.

Be Affectionate All The Time:

This means that displaying your affection is not just a task for intimate moments. The next time your partner is cooking, washing the dishes, or doing some other chore, you can display affection on the small scale by walking up behind them and wrapping your arms around their waist or kissing the back of their neck.

This shows that you care about them even when they’re doing busy work and is the perfect way to thank your lover for doing a chore. Talking to your partner, telling that person you love them, is important all day long and not just when you’re “in the mood”.

Make it a Point to Touch Your Partner:

I know, I know we just said that being affectionate isn’t about constantly touching your partner. Then again, small moments of touching spread throughout the day (and regardless of circumstances) proves that you are truly affectionate and not just going through the motions. A simple and quick touch on your partner’s shoulder or waist, or even a thing as small as a kiss on the cheek can work wonders in your partnership. Think about the ways you like to be touched and share them with your partner consider these kinds of touches educational. When you make it a habit to touch your partner, you create intimacy in even the most chaotic of times.

Snuggle Together on the Couch:

After a long day at work, many couples retire in front of a movie or the television. This is the perfect time to share affection, though many people miss out on it simply because they don’t think about it. Holding hands, touching your lover’s hair, and kissing during commercials (so you don’t miss a minute of your favorite show) will go a long way toward proving to your partner that you care. It is easy to get caught up in sexual touching and overlook the kind of soft, romantic touching that lovers need to maintain their romance and reassure each other of their love.

Take Walks Together:

Not only is taking a walk good for your body and your mind, it can be the perfect time to display affection. Even though your partner may never tell you so, display of affection in front of other people may be really important. It communicates to your lover that you want everyone to know how you feel about each other, and more often than not the two of you may solve other relationship problems while taking a slow stroll through your neighborhood. Holding hands during a walk is a pain-free way to communicate your love to your significant other.

Greet Your Partner with Affection:

There’s nothing better than coming home to the one you love. The next time your partner comes in the door from work, greet them with a big hug and kiss or another showy affectionate gesture. Work is stressful, and if you don’t greet your partner this way sometimes that stress invades your home and your relationship. The best antidote to stress is touch and affection before you do anything else when you walk in the door or when your partner walks in, announce how happy you are that he or she is home and start getting affectionate right away.

Try Functional Affection:

Not all affection is random or simply out of kindness. Some forms of affection are functional in that they actually get something done. The simple act of giving a back rub or a neck rub is a very functional way to show warmth and help your partner. Brushing your lover’s hair can be as intimate as any action you can take, and it does serve a purpose women especially tend to love to have their hair brushed.

It is soothing and is good for their hair. If your partner is really dreading a specific chore, taking that chore over and doing it for them every now and then is another way to show warmth without even touching.

Be Concerned About Your Level of Affection:

You’ve already got this step covered. Simply being worried about sharing affection with your partner shows that you want this relationship to work and are willing to go to great (or small) lengths to get the job done. Talk to your lover about what kind of affectionate touch they like or need, and share your own feelings on the subject.

Showing affection is easy and you can take just a few minutes out of your day to share it with your lover. There are few simpler things you can do to pump life back into your relationship. Whether you’re looking to ignite a spark that has gone out or to extend your romantic life into the everyday activities you and your partner share, displaying affection is vital to promoting happiness between you and your lover.
