2012 Range Rover Evoque 5-Door
Land Rover unveiled today the five-door version of the 2012 Range Rover Evoque at the 2010 LA Auto Show. The new car has the same design as the coupe model. However, Land Rover says the new car is 30 mm taller than the coupe and the rear passengers get over 50 mm more shoulder room. A full-sized glass panoramic roof enriches the sensation of space. Land Rover adds that the 2012 Range Rover Evoque 5-Door will come with a starting price of GBP30,000 (EUR35,000 or $48,000). The engines are the same found on the coupe, meaning we will find a 2.2-liter turbo diesel engine with 150PS or 190PS derivatives.
The front-wheel drive version is driven by the 2.2 liter engine and delivers 150 PS that achieves sub 135g/km CO2. The most powerful version will be outfitted the 2.0-liter Si4 petrol engine, delivering 240 PS and this model can go from 0 to 60 mph in 7.1 seconds. For the Range Rover, Land Rover offers contrasting roof and spoiler color at no additional cost. The interiors of the new Range Rover feature a darker environment with splashes of bright contrast color.
The 2012 Range Rover Evoque five-door will come in three trim levels: Prestige, Pure and Dynamic. The Prestige level features 19-inch wheels and sparkling metallic doors and an interior almost entirely leather-wrapped. In the Prestige, we find duo-tone color schemes made beautiful by premium leather, twin-needle stitching and real wood and metal finishes. The Pure trim level boasts a clean interior in neutral colors meant to highlight the simple forms of the cabin architecture. This level features a real-metal brushed aluminum trim and new soft-touch wrapped materials. The Dynamic trim level features 20-inch wheels and unique sills, bumpers, tailpipes and grille.

The Chewing Gum Portraits of Jason Kronenwald
Jason Kronenwald is an extraordinary artist who creates incredible celebrity portraits out of chewed pieces of bubblegum.
“Gum Blondes” is a series of portraits of famous blondes, from Britney Spears to Madonna and even Hillary Clinton. Although I’m pretty sure he isn’t the first artist to do portraits of these stars, he is the first one to do it using only chewing gum. Jason Kronenwald executed his first chewing gum artwork in 1996, and over the years improved his technique to the point where you couldn’t guess the only medium is colored bubblegum. He recently opened a new exhibition of portraits, entitled “A Fresh Pack of Gum Blondes.”
While I’ll admit it’s hard to believe, Jason adds no dye to his chewing gum portraits. Colors and tones are obtained by simply chewing a variety of colored gum, regardless of their brand. He even has a team of chewers, so he doesn’t put any gum in his mouth, unless he absolutely has to. Each portrait is created on a plywood surface, which is then sealed with an epoxy resin that protects and preserves it for long periods of time.

Audi Autonomous TTS Pikes Peak
The autonomous Audi TTS built by Volkswagen Group Electronics Research Lab, Stanford University and Audi has taken an important first step toward its ultimate goal: participating in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The self-driving TTS officially completed a test run – all the way to the 14,110 foot summit – earlier this year, clocking a time of 27 minutes, which is pretty good considering that race officials typically expect a human driver to do it in around 17 minutes.
Audi says that the car used a combination of brand-new software, algorithms and hardware to tackle one of the world's most challenging hill climbs. The 12.42 mile course is a gauntlet of tarmac and loose gravel that snakes upward with a number of instant switchbacks. According to Audi, the autonomous TTS managed to hit a top speed of 47 mph during one stretch. Hit the jump for the full press release.

Tom Cruise Jumping From Burj Khalifa
Scenes from Mission Impossible IV filmed in Dubai. And the person who sits at the very top of the Burj Khalifa skyscraper, 2,717 feet high, might be Tom Cruise who is well-known for doing all his own stunts, no matter how dangerous they are. Of course, the actor can’t give details, as the movie is still being filmed. But we can still guess his silhouette on these Photographs.
