Seagate BlackArmor NAS 400 Home Network Storage

Seagate BlackArmor NAS 400 is the new version of network storage server for small business and home use. The NAS has four bays and can accommodate 3.5-inch drives. There are two gigabit Ethernet ports and four USB 2.0 connections for connecting additional drives or printers.

Backup and protection tools are included, and can serve up to 50 network-connected PCs. Incremental or full system backups can be set. The bays are hot-swappable, and the NAS has user-configurable RAID 0/1/5/10 and JBOD capabilities. The storage hub can centralize media files on a network and share them with DLNA-compliant devices or through its own iTunes server.

The empty device can now be purchased through Seagate’s website for $400. Buyers can opt to fill it with drives before it ships, though this adds to the price.
