Maserati Quattroporte 2030 Concept inspired by dinosaur skeletal structure

Who would have thought that pre-historic animals like dinosaurs could inspire automotive designs of the future? Yaroslav Chumachenko, 25-years old transportation design student at Istituto Europeo di Design, Turin, Italy contemplated exactly on those lines and came up with the niche concept of futuristic flexible design for Maserati car. Keeping in mind the exponential rate at which automotive technology changes, Yarslov’s Maserati Quattroporte 2030 Concept can adopt minor design changes to function as a rear engine super-car, SUV or a sedan with utmost ease. The concept car also draws some design inspirations from the coveted Maserati Birdcage model and the historic Zeppelin airship.

Main focus of the skeletal like basic platform is to provide flexibility when it comes to changing car’s performance using Stereolithography additive manufacturing technology to suit customer’s requirements. Coming on to the safety aspects of the Maserati concept car, the structural ribs attached to the sturdy longitudinal member ensure paramount cabin safety and support for body panels.
